Canadian Gov Gives $38 Million For Young Students To Learn Code

The Canadian government announced they are giving different non-profit organizations $38 million to teach students how to code. Navdeep Bains, a Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, states, “coding teaches our young people how to work as a team to solve difficult problems in creative ways.” The money is being filtered through a new education initiative called CanCode. Anyone interested in helping their child learn how to code, will be able to find classes at summer code camps, kid friendly maker spaces, and after-school STEAM programs.
