According to officials, cleanup efforts at the site of a sinkhole that swallowed two homes and jeopardized a third in Florida will begin this week on Wednesday. The hole, which opened up Friday morning last week, has since grown to 225 feet in diameter and 50 feet deep. Two homes and a boat were destroyed, but thankfully no one was reported injured. Officials added on Monday that 11 homes in Pasco County, which is just north of Tampa, were affected. Residents of four homes who were evacuated when the sinkhole appeared have since been allowed to return, while five others remain empty.
