Colorado Uses Pot Revenue to Fund College Scholarships

In Colorado, Marijuana is a $1.3 billion industry. The ensuing tax revenue is helping students pay for college.
Pueblo County is doing something that’s a first in Colorado: distributing pot-funded scholarships to college students.
Every graduating high school student in Pueblo County will qualify for a scholarship funded by pot tax revenue. The tuition can be used at local colleges.
CBS affiliate KKTV reports, the Pueblo County commissioner’s office began accepting applications in February for the country’s first cannabis-funded college scholarship.
