Discussions Continue for Medicaid Payments in Illinois

Earlier in June, U.S. District Court Judge Joan Lefkow ordered that motions be filed by Tuesday if debating sides failed to reach a solution that would put the state in substantial compliance with federal consent decrees on Medicaid. However on Monday, Tom Yates, the executive director of Legal Council for Health Justice, who represents Illinois’ 3 million Medicaid recipients, said, “We’re still talking to the state.”
