Google Fiber has gotten a new head and is losing employees. According to Bloomberg, Gregory McCray has been named as Google Fiber’s new CEO. After seeming to emerge from last year’s slump with Fiber 2.0, google has announced a new CEO for its Fiber unit. Broadband veteran Gregory McCray has been tapped to take over the unit. Hundreds of employees are also being shifted to other divisions within Google. McCray said in a statement that, ”Google Fiber has been instrumental making the web faster and better for everyone — something I’ve been passionate about my entire career”.
