President Donald Trump’s private Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, which has also been dubbed the “Southern White House” appears to have weak cybersecurity. This is an issue to take into serious consideration since President Trump has used his members only resort to meet with foreign heads of state and other officials on behalf of government business. In February, Trump took a call about a North Korean ballistic missile launch while inside the dining room at Mar-a-Lago. In a recent joint investigation conducted by Gizmodo and Propublica, multiple security holes were found at Mar-a-Lago, including a misconfigured and unencrypted router, use of the weak and outmoded WEP encryption and a database with an insecure login page on the club’s website.
