The “Little House on the Prairie” log cabin has been deteriorating at its site in Kansas, but soon it’s expected to receive a makeover. According the Wichita Eagle, the cabin was re-created and built in 1977 when the TV series was incredibly popular. The show was based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, which recounted her childhood in the Midwest. In 1869, Wilder spent a year with her family at the Kansas cabin site.
