Megyn Kelly has most EMBARRASSING moment of her life on LIVE TV as she tries to fix ratings disaster

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

Megyn Kelly certainly was expecting something positive to come out of her switch to NBC, especially given the cut in pay she accepted in taking the job (Fox had offered her $20 million annually to stay). And what a disastrous journey it’s been thus far. Her first show on the network, a political show that aired on Sunday, was a massive flop, often being beaten in the ratings by reruns of America’s Funniest Home Videos (which, granted, were a hell of a lot more entertaining than Megyn’s show).

It wasn’t much of a surprise, either. Given her feud with Donald Trump while at Fox, conservative viewers see Kelly as too liberal, and potential liberal viewers think she’s too conservative (because to them, she’s just the “lady from Fox News”). It’s not a recipe for success when you piss off both sides, and that showed in the ratings.

Seeing that nobody wanted to watch Megyn on Sundays, the network decided to double down and give her a daily show, this one apolitical, and taking the format of a morning talk show (like Ellen, Dr. Oz, etc.). So how have those ratings fared? “Well” enough to drag down the entire network’s ratings – seriously.

A source told Page Six that “Not only are ratings plummeting since Megyn Kelly joined the ‘Today’ franchise, but the numbers show Kelly’s lead-in has also affected Kathie Lee [Gifford] and Hoda Kotb’s show, which follows straight afterwards.”

Here’s more: ‘They’ve taken a huge hit with Megyn as their lead-in,’ the insider added. Kelly’s hour of ‘Today’ is down 32 percent compared to a year ago. And ‘Kathie Lee & Hoda’ is down 26 percent.”

And as for the reasoning why, I present to you the cringiest moment of television so far in 2017…

Sorry.
