Nevada May Soon Require Police Body Cams

All police officers in Nevada may soon be required to wear body cameras under a new measure that was proposed to Governor Brian Sandoval on Thursday and is awaiting his signature. If approved by the state legislature, the proposal will make Nevada the second state in the U.S. to mandate that state and local police use body cameras. North Carolina became the first state in 2015. State Senator Aaron Ford said, “Providing every officer with a body camera protects officers while they’re on the job and engenders trust among the public.”
