NFL Reportedly Agrees to Deal With Roger Goodell

According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, a new contract for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has been agreed upon. An extension for Goodell became a hot button issue this past season, with Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones reportedly trying to delay it. Florio reports that Jones had garnered some support for his movement, but that ultimately most of the owners were behind Goodell. The extension will reportedly keep Goodell in the role through 2024. Exact details of the extension have yet to be reported, but an ESPN report from November listed Goodell’s demands as being around 50 million per year and a private jet for life.
