Wildfires blazing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park region of Tennessee have now taken the lives of seven victims. Rains on Wednesday have assisted firefighters in suppressing the flames that have ravished entire neighborhoods. More than 700 structures have been destroyed or damaged throughout Sevier County, including at least 300 in the resort town of Gatlinburg. Three people who were trapped by the fire were rescued, treated at a local hospital and released. Mandatory evacuation orders remain in effect for more than 14,000 people.
