On Tuesday, three UCLA basketball players detained in China on suspicion of shoplifting were returning to the United States after President Donald Trump sought the help of Chinese President Xi Jinping in the case. The three basketball players from the University of California, Los Angeles were detained by police on November seventh in the city of Hangzhou over allegations of shoplifting. The three students, freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, were taken in for questioning by police over allegations that they had shoplifted from a Louis Vuitton store while visiting Hangzhou.
