According to US officials on Monday, at least $1 million worth of smuggled marijuana was discovered last week in spare tire compartments of newly assembled Ford Fusion sedans that were imported into the country from Mexico. Reports add that the smuggling was uncovered on Wednesday last week when workers at a Ford dealer in Kent, Ohio found the marijuana in a new Fusion. According to the DEA, 15 Mexican-made Ford cars, each packed with marijuana instead of a spare tire, made it to Ohio by rail. None of the cars, which contained 32 pounds of pot each, were sold to consumers before the drugs were found.
