What Does Deadlock Mean for Cosby Retrial?

According to legal experts, the difficulty of finding an unbiased jury for Bill Cosby’s retrial may be higher now after the entertainer’s first sex assault case ended in deadlock. Prosecutors, who intend to retry Cosby, filed a motion on Monday urging Judge Steven O’Neill to refrain from identifying the jurors, who spent 52 hours in an unsuccessful effort to decide whether the 79-year-old Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand in 2004. According to sources, O’Neill may have concern over naming the jurors publicly which could lead to spate of stories on what led to the jury room logjam.
