On Friday, North Korea’s deputy U.N. envoy said the United States must reverse its “hostile policy” toward the country before talks can take place. North Korea’s Deputy U.N. Ambassador Kim In Ryong stated, “As everybody knows, the Americans have gestured (toward) dialogue. But what is important is not words, but actions.” North Korea has pledged to develop a missile mounted with a nuclear warhead, capable of hitting the mainland U.S. the country says the development is necessary to counter U.S. aggression.
