White House Press Briefing Continues Peek-A-Boo Game With Reporters

The Trump Administration demanded that cameras be turned off yet again at the White House press briefing Monday, sidelining one of daytime television’s most popular features. According to White House rules, news networks were only allowed to air press secretary Sean Spicer’s question-and-answer session after it was done. The Associated Press reports viewers had the extraordinarily dull vision of still pictures of Spicer onscreen–as he talked off-camera. In fact, Fox News Channel and MSNBC both broke away to other stories before the session was finished. The last on-camera White House briefing was on June 29th.
